Donald Dewar Leisure Centre

The sixth and latest in a 10-year programme of leisure centre provision throughout the Glasgow area, this centre comprises function suite, dance studio, multi-purpose sports hall and a meeting room as well as changing room accommodation for the external sports pitches etc.

Keim Ecosil provides longlife protection for all the internal block and plasterwork throughout the new building and complies with the council's principles of environmentally friendly materials. The council also introduced a new natural ventilation method for the centre and the highly 'breathable' nature of Keim Ecosil allowed the walls to release moisture from the fabric as part of this concept.

To complete the decorative and protective finish, many walls were also treated with Keim anti-graffiti wax coating system to withstand the extra washing requirement as a result of the heavy usage especially in the external fields sports changing area.
