Moving On
After almost 20 years at their Shropshire premises Near Bridgnorth, Keim Mineral Paints have relocated to new premises in Telford.
“This move has become necessary to continue to provide the level of service which is a key factor in fulfilling the needs of our customers” says Managing Director David Pratt “Having progressively increased turnover over the years and by almost 40% over the last 5-years, the company needed extra space for stockholding, paint mixing, logistics, service support and administrative operations.”
The new premises provide a 33% increase in production capacity and will incorporate a water treatment plant to recycle water used in production, as part of the company’s commitment to the environment and ISO14001. It is also having an environmentally friendly heating system installed and is a ‘good neighbour’ with no toxic fumes, low carbon, no smells and low noise in the production processes.
At the same time, Keim has also expanded its staff with new appointments in sales and marketing functions as a planned programme of continued and sustained growth.
“This move is the springboard for our growth over the next few years” adds David “It is more convenient for the national road network, gives us the extra space we need for manufacturing, logistics and administration and we will also be introducing more technology in our administration systems.”
Keim Mineral Paints have added to the external sales force, redesignating sales areas and reorganising the internal sales team in line with individuals’ particular strengths. Sue Gold has joined the sales team covering the Central sales region, bringing the external sales force up to seven people coupled with a 25% increase in the internal sales team.
Dr Vanessa Fox has also joined the management team as Commercial Manager with the specific remit for the further development of the company’s commercial activities, specifically including customer services, logistics and technical support activities for the sales teams.
